Typography Project

I think the strongest part of my art piece is the different colors and designs. The colors are all bright and they look like they blend well with each other. All the colors pop out like they’re neon or like they’re glowing. One part of my art that can be improved on is how much letters are placed on the picture. In could have changed the font and made each “y” different from each other. Instead of making them all yellow I could have changed the colors maybe to: white and orange or pink and baby blue to make my piece more “unique”.

Some tools I used to create my piece were the gradient tool, the lasso tool, and the move tool. I used the move tool to move the letters around and create a design that I liked. The lasso tool was used to cut out things that I didn’t want to show in the final piece. I used the gradient tool to change the background to make it look really cool. I also did something that made these different colored rainbow circles and wherever I clicked it added another rainbow circle. They really go with the piece and they made it look really amazing.
What was difficult about this piece of art was trying to come up with an original idea. I literally started over like 10 times and used different letters each time. First it was the letter x, then l, then v, then t etc. If I could do this assignment again I wouldn’t change it because I’m really satisfied with it and I didn’t expect to get to where I did. I was just going by trial and error. Creating this was completely random and not intentional. For this project I would give myself an 8 because I could have put more content. By content I mean the amount of letters I put. I only used about 7 or 8 y’s and then copied the whole row I had on the piece.
